This month has been full of mystery and laughs. I've been making do with what I have and getting a chuckle out of the circumstances.
The music I play always cheers me, and lately I've had fun with Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Years ago, I bought a John Lennon piano solo book and every song is precious but since Christmas is less than 100 days away, and I'm not working on choir music, I thought I'd play Happy Xmas every day.
When I get to Yoko's part, I always sing it like she did and quite honestly, I crack my own bad self up doing so, shrieking a tad like she did.
It's not a difficult song to play but carries with it (in my memory) a kinder and gentler Christmas greeting. It reminds me of the Beatles and the music that turned the 60s and 70s into a peace loving time.
I love to play it and chuckle like the naughty girl I yam, sweet potato.
With this month of being impoverished, I've learned to treasure that which makes a smile appear on this weathered countenance.
This past week I celebrated Dad's birthday and listened to sports scores. My grandson did not play football last night, has been sick i hear. I wish I could tell him how much I miss him. For now, I just pray for
Peace.
Kimmy
