Michelle Shocked and acoustic duo Dala - tonight on WoodSongs!

MICHELLE SHOCKED returns to the WoodSongs stage to celebrate the release of her thirteenth album, Soul of My Soul. Michelle is a Texas born Troubadour and political activist whose 23-year old musical career has seen critical acclaim at every juncture. Her debut album The Texas Campfire Tapes was infamously recorded by a campfire and garnered international exposure in Europe. Her break in the US came with the release of Short Sharp Shocked and includes the classic song "Anchorage." michelleshocked.com

DALA is the acoustic duo of Amanda Walther and Sheila Carabine from Canada. Their last two albums earned them a total of four Canadian Folk Music Award nominations. Their videos have been featured on Bravo, CMT, Much More Music and MTV. Just this past year, the duo released a new album Everyone Is Someone and were honored being the only Canadian act invited to play at the 50th anniversary of the famed Newport Folk Festival. dalagirls.com
