Today, Simone Biles and her fellow gold medal winning Olympian team testified about the awful abuse they suffered from Latry Nassar. The girls struggled to tell their stories. It was a terrible ordeal for the athletes who are heroes.
The fact that they complained to the FBI but their complaints were buried makes me sick. The awfulness is worse than I imagined!
We owe them justice. They deserve kindness and respect. Not only does Nassar deserve his 100+ years in prison, his colleagues who serve the Olympic hopefuls do too.
When a man can securely abuse women like that turd, the turd deserves punishment. The Olympic committee deserves justice as well.
As I watched the testimony, I cried and became filled with anger at the details of all that they endured.
I'm going to pray for peace.
