Rivers

I found a choir anthem called RIVER IN JUDEA yesterday and am overjoyed about it!

Whenever we sang the song, Michael Rintamaa would play it on the piano and it would rock my world. To play this old standard, one has to be aware of the key changes, the supporting bass notes and the accompaniment differs from what is being sung. It was a piece of cake for him, but for me? It is a true challenge!

I play it nearly every hour and yeah, I make mistakes, but I keep on going. Sure it is tricky, but there's nothing more fun than getting it right every now and then.

Ain't that America? We try to keep justice and kindness as our goals, and we err every now and then, but we keep on trying! Even though we experience discouraging moments, it feels joyous when we get it right.

Now Simone Biles is on our minds, and what a courageous girl, to tend to her mental health! Kudos and clamclaps for her, and all the Olympians who overcome mountains of obstacles. I admire all of them and pray they do well.

In this moment of one hot summertime, I pray for peace,

Kimmy
