Social Me-Dia

About 10 years ago, my friend and fellow standardized patient at UK College of Medicine, Jesse Pennington told me about Pinterest. Once I subscribed, my friend Sandy Davis told me Pinterest puts the "me" back into social media. She was an artist, Sandy was, and of course, and she had it all pegged!

In fact, Jesse was/is also an artist, she said if she had a dream career besides having a major recording contract (as the beautiful musician she is in her Brassfield Nashville band), she said she would be a cupcake artist, and I totally believe her. Jesse once made a rose for me out of reese's wrappers. She's super talented!

At any rate, social media has been my friend over the last year and a half, during this awful pandemic.

Pinterest? I dropped it a few phones ago, I am not that creative, nor do I want to be lol. I do enjoy playing Euchre, and I don't need another person to do it, I can play against a computer and be perfectly happy.

Yes, I do bow to Instagram and Facebook, of course I do, and Twitter, but I am careful who I follow and who follows me. There is a twat on Twitter that you can subscribe to and it will tell you how many people follow you every week, and stops to follow you.

Sometimes it's more, sometimes it's less, and I won't tell which, lol.  One thing is for certain, I am saying "lol" too much!

So tonight I'm going to watch the patriotic concert on KET. I enjoyed Doc Martin already, and now I get to sit back and watch this lovely tribute to our troops and those who have fought for our freedom. If someone puts on a uniform and fights for me to be able to say the things I say here in Kimmyville, I have to salute them and pray for their welfare.

Pray for peace y'all,

Kimmy
