Debatable

 

So, last night, finally there was a debate between the vice presidential candidates. When Kamala Harris and Mike Pence entered the stage, there was not a lot of applause, because under the Covid-19 regulations, social distancing had to be maintained as well as other precautions, such as a large plexiglass divider between Kamala Harris and Mike Pence.

Kamala Harris started the debate by saying how the Trump Administration was a total failure and a disappointment to the American people. So, she got the tone set right from the start.

It was no surprise, since Harris is a former Federal prosecutor. She is a fierce debater, and focused, and happy. That was the best thing about Kamala, it came out last night. When she smiles, she truly seems happy.

As for the substance of the last night debate, I will not get into policies, because I am obviously a liberal.

My mother and father felt passionately about their issues, and they went door-to-door to collect money for organizations such as the United Way, the United Fine Arts fund of Cincinnati, the Florence Women's Club and Garden Club, and our band efforts. My brothers played football, they needed their fundraising as well. Mom and Dad put a lot of passion into everything they did.

I would be much happier knowing our nation was being led by folks who had a happy and compassionate heart, wouldn't you? 

We shall see what happens when the election is over, until then, I pray for and wish you
