Filly Wins Preakness!

Yesterday, a filly came out of the blue and blew away all the leading horses to go neck-and-neck with Authentic in the closing furlongs - when she won by a head bob. It was a fabulous finish to a wonderful race, with the Preakness finishing out the Trinity of the Triple Crown.

It was an exciting day, even though the last night we heard the news that the president of the United States has been admitted to Walter Reed hospital for treatment of the Coronavirus. 

The speculation on the news today has been how long the president knew he had covid-19 and how many people did he spread the virus to, when he had rallies and meetings and such in the latter part of the week? Now I don't wish sickness or death on anyone, but if he gets the sniffles, I will chuckle a little bit, I really will.

Swiss Skydiver paid over $25 to win the the Preakness today, and Authentic paid something like $5 to show and in third place was Jesus Team, which caught my eye are earlier, but I did not blog about him. 

The point of the day is the female one. I'm all for watching the female win these days. 

I'm glad she got into the race, and I'm glad she came into the home stretch with her all her barrels were loaded and she was ready to go! What an exciting day for sports.
