NOBLE PROMISE is already the winner of a Grade I stakes race - all ye locals will remember that he won the Breeders' Futurity last Fall at Keeneland.
Since then, he has enjoyed further success, but a look at his troubled run in the Grade I Arkansas Derby a few weeks ago reveals an entirely different scenario. The CUVEE colt was roughed up in that race and wound up with cuts and bruises and what's worse, he developed a nasty lung infection.

Today, however, trainer Ken McPeek advises that NOBLE'S PROMISE is all healed up and ready to race against the best of the best Saturday at Churchill.
Jockey Willie Martinez will be aboard NOBLE'S PROMISE for owners Chasing Dreams Racing.
What I like about this horse: NOBLE'S PROMISE is a 20-1 longshot, and was a Grade I winner last year at the tender age of 2. Also, if you scratch deep enough into his pedigree, you will the see the name of BLUSHING GROOM, who is one of my all time favorites. Perhaps it's because he stood at Gainesway Farm when I booked mares there, or perhaps it's because his progeny are known for their stamina. If BLUSHING GROOM's blood is coursing through our recovering colt, it is possible he will come back stronger than ever and will wear the garland of roses this Saturday!
