Will There Be Lilies for BEAUTICIAN?

The Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks is running this Friday, and I cannot overlook one entry with a name that is near and dear to my heart: BEAUTICIAN. (Actually, it's near and dear to my hair, but as everyone knows, a good hair day is a good day in KimmyVille:)

BEAUTICIAN is the daughter of DEHERE, out of the mare CARONI.  She is owned by Peter Callahan, trained by Ken McPeek and will be ridden by Alex Solis, who is working with her today (Monday) at Churchill.

BEAUTICIAN seems to race better on dirt, and in fact won her debut race on dirt. However, she finished 8th in the Grade 1 Ashland Stakes at Keeneland a few weeks ago on the polytrack (all-weather) surface.  Let's hope she digs in and wins the Lilies if for no other reason, in honor of all the wonderful beauticians whose work is truly transformational.  I don't know about you, but I love my hair dresser, Julie - in fact she's one of the best people I know...and a good friend, to boot!

What I like about this horse:  She has been at Churchill for a few weeks versus most of her competitors, who are arriving today or tomorrow.
