I was thinking about venturing out into downtown today, if for no other reason, to finally mail my Christmas cards. Besides, I like Lexington most when it's busy, as long as I am not out in the traffic, that is. I'll check out the Victorian Square and Civic Center shops (stamps at the Hallmark store, hopefully) and then mayhaps I'll see what Fayette Cigar store has for my friends who smoke. You're out there, you know who you are :)
Note to self: remember to avoid the Dame block. I don't wanna kill my holiday shopping buzz, I want to stay positive, especially coz UK plays Drexel tonight at Rupp, and everyone knows that Basketball brings good juju to Lexington, especially when we're winning.
Oh by the by, if you can't get tickets to the game or are looking for something to give your kids as a nice pre-Christmas treat, Riders in the Sky will play tonight at the Kentucky Theatre, at 6:45, brought to you by the Troubadour Concert series. Don't miss 'em, especially if you have kids who love Toy Story!
Oh, and I almost forgot - ELandF Gallery will celebrate the Winter Solstice at midnight tonight, at Denny's on Nicholasville road. Get your Winter on!
