Gentle Voice

I am pleased to say that I have been given permission to start a choir here at Cambridge Arms Apartments!

We are meeting in my building tomorrow early, and in the other building later, in order to include everyone in the choir if possible.

I am really nervous, because as you know, probably, I came from Lexington's wonderful choir Central Christian Church's Chancel Choir after 25 years.

It is not easy to move away from a city where your choir is your support system. It is difficult to leave a church where you're treated so well and respected by your Stephen Ministry peer group, elders and ministers.

So, I have been whining about it ever since I moved in June, cried a bucket of tears, and have wondered where in the world I could find a church so wonderful with a lovely choir for me to fit into and complete. So far that search been an exercise in futility.

However, recently, I decided to begin a choir here at my apartment complex, and bring joy to my neighbors for the next few weeks, at least, until the Holidays! Then if we're successful,  we'll move on from there.
I have learn

ed so much from Michael Rintamaa and the others in my choir at Central, and I will carry that in my heart when I try to lead this group, but I ask you one thing:

Please pray for me ...
and while you're at it,
pray for peace,
Kimmy
