...do justice and to love kindness...and to walk humbly with your God!"
It is my last day at Rose Tower! I'm packing with the fervor of my hero, Joan of Arc, and girding my loins for the battle!
I'm not taking any heavy furniture, but am giving it away to my fellow residents, some who have nothing, literally. My friend Jane has been sleeping on the floor for years, and I'm giving her my bed...just taking the mattress, so she can put her bed atop it!
Neighbor Sly only has broken office chairs and a bed. His exwife set their house afire 7 years ago, and he has nothing other than what he's collected since then.
At any rate, he is helping me move tomorrow, so he will enjoy my fuschia sofa and chair made of Italian leather, yay!
My Winslow Homer print of the Nor'easter has a new home in former Marine hero, Charlie, who is the guardian of our coffee hour.
Doris has recently moved into a deceased neighbor's apartment. She has all the heavy lifting done. Just needs corner tables, in which I am overstocked. So I'm happy to help her, too...plus, she gets the Picasso chair. Whew, it feels joyous to lose your possessions to those who will love them!
It takes a village...
Loves
Kimmy
