I have a friend who will tell you that I always ask people to pray for peace.
Another friend always answers me back, and says they will definitely pray for me, my brother, for peace or whatever I ask them to pray. It is a blessing and I am thankful for someone who will listen to me ask for a prayer and not criticize me for believing in prayer.
If someone does not believe in prayer, they should be quiet and not say anything when I ask them to pray.
Instead, sometimes I get some pushback. I hear that their prayer won't matter or that God doesn't listen to them, they don't believe, they believe and nothing ever happens, and essentially, they do not believe in prayer.
I do not have the words to describe what a comfort it is to have a soul who cares enough to pray.
It is a powerful tool for friendship!
