Thank God!
Were You There When They Crucified My Lord? That is the song that stuck in my head yesterday as I finished watching The Good Friday worship service from Central Christian Church, Lexington Kentucky, where I make my faith home.
I have been growing in my faith in that church since 1997, and to be moving to Cincinnati soon, I know I will miss the heart and soul of that church...and that is my Chancel choir!
Years ago, I wrote a celebratory essay on each member of the choir, and although they were already close friends, that exercise was a two-year experience in Ministry, love, friendship, The Parables of Jesus, and testing my writing skills.
It was a fun experience, and I have no one to blame but Michael Rintamaa for asking me to do it. He is one of the finest Christians anyone will ever want to meet, and I don't want to embarrass him so I will not go on about him here.
I do hope you have a wonderful Easter! I am going to stay home, I am going to celebrate liberally, I am going to honor Jesus ...
and I am going to church tomorrow morning, celebrating Easter in all its wonderful Glory!
