Remember the Sabbath

"Remember the Sabbath day, and keep it holy."

Remember the 10 commandments? In the Old Testament, Moses declared to his people the laws of their God, who came to Moses in the form of a burning bush.

At the age of 66, with 2 great grandchildren and 4 grandchildren, I am happy to say that I indeed remember the sabbath every Sunday, and I keep it holy by watching my church service either in person or digitally.

My friend, John David Combs has converted to Judaism, and he practices the Sabbath on Saturday, He makes special challah bread and kitches on holidays, lights the perfect candle for faith to glow.

He is a festive fella, I'm as proud of him as God was of Moses and Jesus and Job.

I have been tempted by something that is confusing the faith side of me, not the financial side, should that creature ever exist. However, I have put my faith in something that a lot of people would scoff at and ridicule me for doing. I have been communicating with someone who has asked me to help them with a charity.

However, the funding they have asked for would have to come from my pocket book, and these days, my pocketbook ain't so heavy.

*******

Why am I telling you all this? Because I need prayer. I covet your prayers, please tonight when you sing your lullabies and start to close your eyes, remember me and ask God protect me from harm and comfort me.
