Sleep Is My Old Friend
I finally slept last night. It was only six hours, but it was like sleeping for a life time. It has been over a month since I slept on a real bed, but my friend Kathy Hobbs loaned me her airbed and I have finally slept.
It has been a long week of turmoil in Washington D.C. and in Lexington. I watched last Wednesday as the rioters took over our Capitol building, and I was devesated, as were so many other Americans, to witness such an insurrection.
Now, we are close to a week after the incident, and calls are being made for President Trump to resign or for Congress to impeach him before his final nine more days in office are up.
I think he should probably be prevented from running for president again if possible, but I do not agree with plans to impeach him at this point. I think it will waste a lot of taxpayer money which has already been wasted by both parties, and I believe it will cause a further injury to the American psyche. It has already been made clear to all of us how serious the rioters were when they entered the house of Congress to take by force our House of Representatives and U.S. Senators to tell them they needed to make Trump president regardless of the vote of the American people.
Now, I am not a lawyer, but I have studied law and I have been a legal secretary for more than 30 years. I know this: the law is the law, and there is nobody that can make that an impossibility.
Law has to be abided by and it has to be made and it has to be rolled up on by smart thinking folks. Not just men! There are plenty of women in this world who can run it and also who can administer the rules that are needed to run the world.
peace,
Kimmy
