Late January News
It is Sunday morning, I have slept an entire night, and I feel like a million bucks! I am thankful my friend Kathy loaned me her air bed, however, my new bed will arrive January 20th, and that's only a few days away.
I am moving to Cincinnati in the spring, and I am already packing up what needs to be packed and eliminating from my wardrobe everything that is hopeless.
This past week I have watched impeachment hearings and speeches by lawmakers who want to impeach my Governor.
Andy Beshear is one of the finest people and comes from one of the finest families anyone would ever want to meet or deal with or negotiate contracts beside.
Steve Beshear, Andy's father, was the governor of Kentucky about 10 years ago, and I once worked for Steve. He was the nicest lawyer who ever hired me. He always thank me for every label I made for him.
To impeach someone of Andy's caliber is insensitive and ridiculous to do at this point.
It is simply childish to say that you want to impeach someone because you don't like that he closed your business. He closed the businesses in Kentucky because there is a worldwide pandemic going on! We are all dying at 1,000 per day.
Anyone who is foolish enough to not open their eyes and see that fact is beyond my comprehension. Every difference of opinion is not a difference of principle.
I must confess I have also watched the presidential impeachment hearings, which seems to me a more Salient lawsuit in this time of pandemic and violence. I do believe our president incited those protesters and rioters to attack our capital and they came for blood. They did not come to protest.
I know that this week will be filled with moments of President Biden's inauguration, but I also hope there will be progress made on Trump's impeachment. He is solidly a threat and menace to the United States of America.
This will not be a popular thing for me to say, but Trump has always been a bigot, which was made clear when he wanted to kill those five black men who were accused in New York of rape, and it turns out they were innocent all along. He never recanted what he had to say about those four guys.
Regardless of all that, I am looking forward to church at 11 this morning, and wish everyone a very happy day.
Peace and Grace
with no malaise,
Kimmy
