You say it's your birthday...

Well, today is my 66th birthday! I have spent the day in isolation, my phone has been a little bit busy with people wishing me well on Facebook, and other than that it's been a quiet day.
I don't mind quiet days, they are comforting at this point. I like to play my piano, listen to music and read all day on my birthday, and that is exactly what I did today.
I take that back, I played Candy Crush for the first time in over a year! I am rocking it, I have already cleared 14 levels today. That was fun LOL.
However, tonight the news is a little bit upsetting. The vaccine is here and everyone is getting a chance to have it administered to them, but at 66, I don't think my turn is going to be anytime soon. Now I have friends who live in Sayre Christian village where the vaccine is being given tonight, and I have a friend in her forties who is a spcial worker and she is living up in Massachusetts and she has also been inoculated, but I don't think my 66 years old age is going to allow me to get the vaccine any sooner than anybody else. I have a feeling it's going to be spring time before I see a needle...
I'm watching the news tonight, hoping somebody else is born on December 30th besides me. I have one friend on Facebook who used to be my Minister and he was born on December 30th, but nobody else is listed as having a birthday today.
A lady I know in Australia has a son who was born on this birthday, and she told me all about it today, and that's just fine. December 30th is an oblique day to be born on and to expect people to remember. It's the day before New Years, is 5 days after Christmas, and ain't nobody going to be buying me a present!
That's okay, I am 66 years old, after all, and I have learned not to expect anything on my birthday, especially since it falls right after Christmas. Speaking of which, happy Christmas and Merry New Year to all!
Peace, Kimmy
