A Christmas Carol-er
First of all, this year I really miss all of the lovely songs of Christmas! I love to sing carols, and go caroling, even on the cold days , even when people don't want to hear carols. About 10 or 15 years ago, my friend Dave decided he wanted to go Christmas caroling, and I was the only person that showed up. We almost went Christmas caroling, but with only two people, we figured we didn't have enough in this to do it.
At any rate, I still miss my choir and miss my church and really really miss singing in a group, but my piano takes me to another place and I can sing just about anything when I accompany myself there.
So, I am really looking forward to getting a stimulus check for Christmas! I would love to buy my grandchildren Christmas presents, and enjoy seeing the response I get from each of them.
My grandson, Sammy, is colorblind. I have promised him I'm going to get him a pair of enchroma glasses so he can see colors for the first time in his life. He has a totally grayscale Vision, so the color blind fixing glasses may not work on him, but I am going to live in hope that they will! Please, please dear Lord, let the check come before Christmas!
Sammy is taking his girlfriend Darcy to Fountain Square to ice skate for Christmas Eve! I'm so excited for them. They're the cutest couple, and to talk to Sammy is so much fun.
I know his family doesn't necessarily know why Sam and I are such great buddies, but he can tell me anything, and he knows that. I will take a bullet for that child, and I already have, in an emotional way. However, I am at heart a Stephen Minister, and I can keep somebody's confidence. It is the heart of all Ministry, I believe.
Now, I will go back to watching The View and enjoying the rest of my day, I hope you have a wonderful one!
Prayers for everyone who is undergoing any kind of treatment for illness or the results of covid-19, and also prayers for my friends who are nurses and doctors and are on the front lines, fighting the virus.
Peace,
Kimmy
