Thanksgiving At My Home Canceled!

I had to break the news to my sister and her boyfriend today. I am not having Thanksgiving at my house this year! Even though we are given a free turkey, we have to go to the first floor and stand in line with the other people in the building to get it. Having turkey is not worth me catching what they have, so I told Kelli that we were canceling Thanksgiving dinner. I can live without turkey for a year!
Of all the years to force us into standing in a line for a turkey, this is the worst one they could have ever picked to do such a stupid thing. There are people in my building that don't believe a mask will prevent the illness from spreading, even though there were more than 3,000 cases in the state of Kentucky today.
I do not want to even think about going downstairs to get a turkey. Although it means I may also get a bag of tangerines, it's not worth the dinner. It is not worth catching a disease to have a meal. I have enough in my cabinets to make a fine meal for myself, and Kelli and Kenny can stay home and healthy.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Kimmy
