I really hope September is sunny. I hope it is full of Happiness, cheeriness, nothing but laughing and smiling. I really hope that September has hugs for me from somebody who is willing to share their Joy. August was tough.
August saw the goodbye to Captain Windy, from Uncle Al's Show for kids, which I watched as a kid. Captain Wendy was married to Uncle Al, who turned out to be an obnoxious drunk. He visited "my restaurant," La Normandie, when I was in my early twenties. Captain Windy was always gracious, always smiling and nice. When I took my son to see Uncle Al (as a baby), Captain Wendy was sweet, and Uncle Al was dubious, to say the least. (Yes it's spelled both ways).
At any rate, I just also saw the death of many people ... including Chadwick Boseman. That was super super sad when that news was announced last weekend: he died of colon cancer at 43. He went through all the treatments, chemo and radiation, while making all of his wonderful films, Black Panther, and his movies about Chuck Berry, and Jackie Robinson. He starred in Superstar movies with a superstar intention of battling a superstar disease.
I admire him so much for not leaning on his cancer and being his cancer but fighting it and being more than the awfulness that surrounded him.
By the time of the end of the month, I realized that I had signed up for a number of things that take money out of my bank account automatically at the end of the month. It is not a good thing for that to happen.
Meanwhile, every single charity is asking me for money. I have no money. I told them that, but they asked me anyway. It is unreasonable, incredible, and unbelievable.
Happy Sunday to all.
Peace,
Kimmy
