Congratulations on a job well done to Ruth Bader Ginsburg and the Conner High School Cougars tonight.
RBG died earlier tonight, and her death has caused so many tears across our nation. In an election year, though, you cannot nominate a Supreme Court Justice, according to Mitch McConnell in the last Election.
At 87 years of age, Ruth Bader Ginsburg lived a good long life, she changed laws to help women earn equal pay, and she was the feminist on the Supreme Court.
It makes me sad that she has died, but she did live a good life, she did a lot of good things, and by golly she lived to be 87 after three different kinds of cancer! That's called living, that's living well!
I listened to my grandson's football game tonight. I tried and tried to tune it in somehow, but I finally found it on Facebook on the Campbell County page. The defense on Conner's team forced two fumbles that Conner recovered and scored touchdowns! The score at the end was 29 to 6, and Cooper plays defensive tackle. I'm so proud of him! I know my son is happy tonight, knowing that Cooper and his team had a good game.
Even though tonight was gloomy due to the news of Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death, the football game was enough to bring my spirits around. I feel like a new person. Thank you to Campbell County for their Camels Pride page, so I could watch Cooper and his team beat their team. As a grandma who doesn't get to Northern Kentucky very often, I always appreciate it when I can see my grandchildren perform, whether it's on my phone or in person.
I am going to try and get some sleep tonight, say a little prayer for me, and I will pray for you too. I promise!
Peace,
Kimmy
