Truth Be Told

Truth be told, I should have never been honest. Being honest has gotten me into a lot of trouble in my life, and being honest at 65, when others control many aspects of your life, it's not a good suggestion.

Truth be told, in the middle of a worldwide pandemic, I am happy to watch my old television shows, the ones I can depend on, like Green Acres and Beverly Hillbillies and the 70s show. All of those still make me laugh.

Truth be told, it takes a lot to make me laugh these days. These days when we have a super virus called the covid-19 infecting millions of people all over the world, and I feel like it's just outside my door ... waiting to knock and come on in.

Truth be told, I have made plans to move back to Northern Kentucky, where I was raised and where all of my childhood friends are, most of them anyway. Truth be told, it is a very Republican area, and I'm afraid most of my friends will not agree with me politically. It's funny, when we were in high school, everyone agreed that we needed to end the Vietnam War and we all agreed that everyone needed to vote. Today, some of my friends post that they don't want US Mail system for voting in this November election. I do not understand their thinking or reasoning, but I do think it will hurt poor people if a mail in option is not the standard.

Truth be told, people are getting on my nerves more and more everyday. The younger people in my building call me a bitter old hag. The older people in the building all think I'm a young upstart. There's no satisfying the people that populate this building and who populate my crowd or my Posse, if you will.

Truth be told we had a moderate day today, and it is only 68 degrees outside right now. That is a wonderful wonderful temperature and I wish it would stay this way all year long. July was a tough month, but I can think of worse things. We had some rain, we had some rainbows, and we had some people crossing over their final Bridge.

Truth be told, when the temperature starts to drop, I can breathe again, and I will start to feel better, I am sure. I know a lot of my friends hate for it to get cold, they love this hot weather, but I really like the moderate 60s and 70s of September and October, and the general feeling that Autumn brings. It reminds me of going back to school, buying a new pair of shoes, buying a new notebook, and a couple of outfits for school, and getting ready to go to school for that first day every year, which scared the holy hell out of me.

Truth be told, Kentucky is beginning to
learn the numbers needed to catch up with other states on the infection of the coronavirus and the way is killing the citizens of see each state.

Truth be told, the Kentucky Derby can be run without admitting a lot of Spectators, and it is certainly a big enough place, Churchill Downs is, to socially distance the onlookers. I wish everyone the best when it comes to the derby, I wouldn't go, but I know people who will. To each his or her own, right?

Peace,
Kimmy
