Humpy HapDay

Boy, it is Wednesday again! Halfway through the week, another week of being shut up in my apartment, not having any visitors, staying away from everyone who may be carrying the coronavirus, which is everyone.
Hundreds of protesters!

I do have some good news, I got to see my girl Emily tonight, from Keeneland. Keeneland is where I met her, anyway. She is of the younger generation, but she always keeps me on my toes. She had a baby last year, and I am so proud of her. I hope I get to see her little girl sometime soon.

The protesters that marched by tonight were not very loud, but there were so many of them! I mean hundreds and hundreds of people, in the street, carrying signs. It is a very well organized protest, I congratulate whoever is at the helm of organizing all of those folks. Every night this week they have marched and protested, and they are obedient in regard to the law when they do so.

I grew up in the 60s, during the riots of 1968, we were not allowed to even go visit my grandma or my aunts, who lived in the North part of Cincinnati. We were only 10 miles away, but it was dangerous to even venture into the part of Norwood that was required for us to get to Aunt Jackie's house.

So, I am used to protests, I am not happy about them, but I am always relieved when a protest is over, and the city has not been set on fire like Cincinnati was back in the day.

As weeks go by, my life does not get any more exciting. Today I played some songs on my ukulele and on the piano, and I wrote a little bit, but really, this whole pandemic thing is boring as hell.

Now, I am trying to find something on the television that is worth watching. I am desperate, so KET is my choice for now. I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday, and perhaps next week, we will all have some good news!

Peace y'all,
Kimmy
