CHARLATAN an early Belmont fave
CHARLATAN, a Kentucky bred chestnut colt is the son of SPEIGHSTOWN and his dam is AUTHENTICITY, and the undefeated colt is favored in the Belmont. This year, the Belmont is the first of the Triple Crown races, at 1 1/8 miles instead of its usual 1 and 1/2 miles. The Kentucky Derby and Preakness Races will follow the Belmont in late September and October.
No surprise that Bob Baffert trains this
horse; and the jockey is Martin Garcia. CHARLATAN is owned by a syndicate that includes SF Racing LLC.
