It is Tuesday morning, I am watching Perry Mason, and sitting in my lovely bed, awaiting the day. It has been over a month now, that I have isolated myself from the rest of the world. I will see my sister, hopefully, today, and occasionally I see her boyfriend when he delivers groceries to me. I am really lucky to have someone who loves me that much.
After watching the politicians talk about what they will and will not do in regard to this pandemic, I am thrilled that I am a resident of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Andy Beshear was elected last November as our new governor, like his father, and he is a good, Christian man who has compassion. He speaks to the state every day at 5 p.m., and everybody watches him and awaits his word. And he is a good guy, concerned about the welfare of the people. That is unusual for a politician, but I worked once for his father, Steve Beshear, and Steve was absolutely the most courteous attorney I ever had that pleasure to work alongside.

Everyday, I wonder whether or not I have anything to say in my blog. My blogs these days don't concern a lot of politics, but they do concern me and the people who I love.
I will say that making a mask is important for your face, but wearing a mask does not protect you from this terrible virus. I cannot understand why people think that if they make a mask for every person in their family and then go out to the store with seven kids and their spouse, that their whole family will not get the virus. The moral to this whole story is to stay at home! If you wear a mask, it's simply keeps your spit from reaching other people. To wear a mask is to protect everyone else, it is not to protect you. However, my friend from high school who believes that she was anointed by God to be a Christian is now making masks, and she is announcing it like the Living Christian martyr that she is. I love her, but she is not saving anyone by making masks. She may be preventing someone who has the virus from passing it on to someone else, but that is not a concrete thing.

The only thing we can do to guarantee we will not catch this crap is to stay at home, and wash our hands. Make a mask if you want to, I did for myself when I go downstairs to get the mail so I won't cough on anybody, but masks only prevent you from passing germs on to other people. They do not prevent people from passing their germs on to you! oy
