Samson and Delilah - UK Opera Theatre, Sunday at 3pm

Camille Saint-Saëns's opera Samson and Delilah takes on one of the Bible's most famous tales of power, treachery, and seduction.

The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre join forces to present the opera in a complete concert performance....



Members of the acclaimed UK Opera Theatre fill out the remaining roles, with the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Chorale portraying both the Hebrews and Philistines.

The opera is sung in its original French and will be accompanied by projected English translations.

Tickets are $25 adult, $20 seniors and UK faculty/staff, $15 students and $10 children (plus processing fees).

Stacey Rishoi, last seen in Cincinnati Opera's 2011 Rigoletto and Eugene Onegin, sings the role of Delilah, and tenor Michael Hendrick tackles the role of Samson.
