It's No Lie, PANTS ON FIRE Blazing Trail to Derby

PANTS ON FIRE winning the Louisiana Derby

For those Derby goers who like to bet horses purely on their name, there's a long shot headed to Churchill Downs you might like to sniff out.
With rider Rosie Napravnik aboard, PANTS ON FIRE pulled ahead of Grade II Risen Star Stakes winner MUCHO MUCHO MAN in the stretch and held off a late challenge from NEHRO to win the $1-million Grade II Louisiana Derby a few weeks ago.

This son of JUMP START came in second in the Grade III Lecomte Stakes back in January and then sixth in the Risen Star Stakes, but somehow pulled ahead for the signature win at the Fairgrounds, and thus ensured his entry into the Kentucky Derby.

PANTS ON FIRE is trained by Kelly Breen for owners George and Lori Hall.

What I like best: SEATTLE SLEW in his sire's pedigree.
