Night Owl Alert - Groove Magazine Launch Party Tonight!

Tonight, there will be a late night gathering at Natasha's which is sure to be an interesting mix of Lexington artists and writers for the launch party of KY Groove Magazine (.com)  -- it's on the late night bill at 11pm - music provided by Switchmen and The Greatest of These!

This will be a unique chance to network with representatives of regional studios, merchandising companies, a professional photographer, and everyone will have a chance to qualify for a review on groove's website.

Here's the invitation:

"Are you tired of working harder for less reward? Do you wish you could grab some press, make some much needed studio contacts for your new record, meet a great photographer, maybe meet some of the coolest merchandising companies around, maybe find out where to go get your instrument repaired by one of the top luthiers in Kentucky, maybe figure out how to land some gigs around Kentucky, and also maybe speak to a DJ from WRFL that could put YOU on the air?

How much would all that be worth to you? Surely at least $7......

Only $7 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right, and oh yeah, SWITCHMEN will be providing Kick Ass Rock 'n' Roll along with partners in crime The Greatest of These, all inside the speakeasy that is Natasha's Bistro & Bar.........

Musicians/Artists/Authors are encouraged to bring any and all Merchandise, CD's and anything else they'd like to share with other like minded individuals. Make sure to at least bring one of your records, KYGROOVE.COM will be giving away free press.

There's literally too much to list here, but rumor has it there will MAYBE be available for purchase a GROOVECARD that is good for 10% off your first purchase at all of the included vendors !?!

WOW - YOU don't want to be the ONE person that misses this. Come make some new friends, see some old ones, and enjoy the spirits flowing in abundance.

Make Reservations at http://www.beetnik.com/ or
by calling (859)-259-2754

Look forward to seeing you there!"

From the folks at GROOVE:

Kygroove.com began as The Groove Magazine, a local music magazine covering Central/Eastern Kentucky. After a few years in print we realized that we could reach a much bigger audience through the web. Kygroove.com will be officially launched on November 20, 2010.

The kygroove.com staff are all working musicians. Our goal is to give our fellow musicians of Kentucky a place to promote their shows and to gather information which could lead to more gigs and exposure. We will also promote photographers, merch companies, music stores, venues, etc.

If it involves music and happens in Kentucky, we want it on our website!"

Scott Rogers, Editor

SWITCHMEN is a 3-Piece rock act hailing from Lexington.  Since its inception in late 2009, the group has been entertaining listeners in the Bluegrass region and abroad with their original sounds and self-proclaimed RetMod Rock.  Fans of Led ZeppelinThe Black Crowes and The White Stripes are sure to enjoy Switchmen.

Unplugged, electric guitar and bass transform into dobro and cello that comprise an intimate classical-folk-blues set.

Switchmen’s debut album $2 Pistol was released on iTunes in June of 2010. Currently, they are being streamed across North America, as well as Europe, Australia and Asia. Look for big sounds from these Shotgun-Fed Rockers in the coming months. According to band member Chad Dickerson, they have one goal: "To save everyone from the foul sound that is today’s radio. We’re all hungry for something - something real, something raw and something from the soul - Switchmen are sure to deliver!"

This launch party and cool concert is only $7 at the door, and again it starts at 11pm - so put your night owl on and go meet with these new innovative and creative folks!

peace, y'all,
Kimmy
