Blue Agave Cantina - Holy Guacamole!

Great news for those who work and/or play downtown!

Robert Garrison and Chris Heflin are opening a new and spicy bar and dance room in Victorian Square called the Blue Agave Cantina and Tequila Bar.

I had their fabulous guacamole today (it's the BEST in town, guaranteed) and chatted with the staff and owners about their exciting plans for the new establishment situated in the former Bravo Pitino space.

Lambchops, you must must try this place and experience the fresh made authentic cantina food and enjoy the comfort of having friendly staff serve you -- it's on Short Street next to Chase Tap Room, across from the Opera House...and upstairs is a loft where you can dance the night away.

Stop in this Saturday, beginning at 9pm, free Salsa dance lessons (with $10 price of admission) given by Marisol Velles.

The Latin orchestra, Cosa Seria will play, the dance party will begin, and before the night is over, perhaps you'll be shakin' your maracas and drinking a Cuervo Sunrise...ole!

Here's the unofficial teaser menu (they are still in transition but the food is still great and the service is superb)

Queso Dip - $5
Black Bean Dip - $6
Guacamole - $4
Ceviche - 8  (tried that too, delish!)
