Family Fun Day Tomorrow 11-3 at Living Arts & Science Center


Living Arts & Science Center invites
you to free Family Fun Day tomorrow:
 
It’s springtime in the Bluegrass and a great time to explore, experiment, and get creative inside and out! [Note: time change - 11am to 3pm}

Join the Living Arts & Science Center’s teachers, staff and special guests for a FREE day of hands-on arts, science, and music activities on April 24, from 11am to 3 pm at the LASC.

The event is free and open to the public and offers many new activities as well as annual events. All activities are hands-on and will take place indoors and out, rain or shine.

* Collaborating on the annual painting of the Art Car!

* Painting a mural in the parking lot!

* Explore the ARTiculation exhibit that combines traditional art
techniques with new technologies such as motion tracking, computer
applications and robotics!

* Pet, feed, and learn about animals that include a mini horse, mini
donkey, alpaca or llama, sheep, nubian dairy goats, pygmy goats,
exotic chickens, ducks, and rabbits!

* Help us design and test a life-sized “Rube Goldberg” machine!

* Learn about ECO Art and make your own Eco sculpture.

* Explore the da Vinci Pavilion, a work-in-progress on the grounds of
the LASC.

* Explore the interactive exhibit, ACTION:REACTION, an exhibit
showcasing interactive video and kinetic sculptures.

* Visit the ARCHITECTURE OF LIFE discovery exhibit.

* Learn about percussion instruments and play them in the drum circle.
