Derby Watch: Awesome Act

AWESOME ACT, a colt whose racing record leaves a little to be desired, will try to prove he is worth of his name tomorrow when he races in the Grade III Gotham Stakes.  

The Kentucky-bred has only one win, three places in six starts, but his owners, Susan Roy and Vinery Stables are hopeful the move to a dirt surface will be more conducive for AWESOME ACT to win.

With a sterling pedigree, AWESOME ACT has the breeding to become a Derby horse, especially with Eclipse Award-winning Julien Leparoux on board  for trainer Jeremy Noseda.
