Sam Shepard's True West Opens Thursday at Studio Players

Lexington's theatre scene opens the year with Studio Players' performance of Sam Shepard's True West.  Under the direction of Eric Seale, the debut will be Thursday night at 8pm on Bell Court - and look out, he's armed with talented cast and perfect script.

"This American classic explores the alternatives that might spring from the demented terrain of the California landscape. Sons of a desert dwelling alcoholic and a suburban wanderer clash over a film script. Austin is a stable, successful Hollywood screenwriter. Lee is his menacing, vagabond brother. The story of their tragicomic quest to change identities is funny and terrifying, realistic and surrealistic, and ultimately mesmerizing.  Mature language."

Cast:
Austin: Timothy J. Hull
Lee: Bob Singleton
Saul: Kody Kiser
Mom: Janet Kinstle

Directed by Eric Seale
Production Dates: January 21 - February 7, 2010
