Life Every Voice and Sing

 Today was a somber and meaningful day to begin with as we worshiped, the message was preached on the miracle at Canaan; and my choir sang Total Praise, which is a powerful spiritual. 

I then came home and wrapped myself around the ukulele, played a few hymns on it, Jesus Loves Me, It Is Well With My Soul, We Shall Overcome. It was comforting and quite lovely. I'm loving the uke more and more every day!

Here is a prayer we prayed in worship:

God in heaven, our hearts desire the warmth of your love

and our minds are searching for the light of your Word.  

Increase our longing for Christ our Savior

and give us the strength to grow in love,

that the dawn of his coming may find us rejoicing in his presence

and welcoming the light of his truth.

We ask this in the name of Jesus the Lord.
