Well, well, well, my Lambchops! All week I have been waiting for Friday, and I am so excited, mainly because somehow, I have recovered my favorite tee-shirt and a decent pair of jeans -- snatched them from the jaws of my closet, I did -- and have thus eliminated that worry from my fret list for today and tonight.
So, there are a few options as to what I'm going to do to kick of this holiday weekend:
Ace Weekly - Front Porch Friday begins at 5:30 at the Ace office on Jefferson Street - right across from the Wine+Market. If you want to meet the folks who cover and follow Arts Community Entertainment in the Bluegrass, get thee to the porch and mix it up with the writers and readers who gather every first Friday.
Buster's Billiards and Backroom reopens tonight on Manchester Street with Chico Fellini headlining. It's only $10 to get in and the doors open at 7:00 pm.
It will be great to see another business reopen of those lost in the Dudley Webb wet-dream-turned-nightmare demolition of an entire block of downtown Lexington businesses last summer.

Or you can catch the OSLANDAILEY Jazztet @ Natasha's tonight (in Lexington) beginning at 9:00pm.

As always, Cheapside's patio is a delight to behold. Whether you are sitting at the bar or at a table, you can always count on good times at the corner of Mill and Short Street. The bartenders are friendly and the Scotch is plentiful. Giddy. yup!
No matter what you choose to do for Labor Day weekend, please have fun, hug your friends, pray for peace, and be safe.
