Safe Sitter is a medically accurate, hands-on class that teaches boys and girls ages 11 to 13 how to handle emergencies when caring for children. Young children cannot always communicate their needs or protect themselves. The babysitter must be able to handle any situation that arises. Safe Sitter classes are availalbe through Kentucky Children's Hospital. Safe Sitters learn:
- What to do when a child chokes.
- Safety to the sitter.
- How to call for emergency help.
- Babysitting business skills.
- Basic child care skills (diapering, feeding, etc.).
- How to entertain children and keep them safe.

I was a Safe Sitter when I was 11 and I loved the program! It made me feel extremely professional to have a strict set of rules and regulations governing how I would run by babysitting business. Thanks for letting more people know about this awesome opportunity!
