Larry Jones, trainer of two second place finishers in as many Derbys-- filly Eight Belles last year and Hard Spun the year before -- has come so close to winning, it just seems as if he is due a Derby winner. The odds are going to be in his favor as he looks to Friesan Fire to brings his dreams to fruition.

Friesan Fire
(son of A.P. Indy, out of the group-winning Australian mare Bollinger) won the Grade I Louisiana Derby and has earned over $600,000 and just may be the horse to finally bring the Roses to Larry Jones. Jockey Gabriel Saez will be aboard this Saturday in the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby.
