Come to Papa

Papa Clem is another Derby favorite after winning the Grade II Arkansas Derby a few weeks ago. This year, he placed in two Grade II Stakes races (Louisiana Derby and Robert B. Lewis Stakes), bringing his lifetime earnings up to nearly $800,000.

He’s a Kentucky-bred son of Smart Strike, and his dam is Miss Houdini.

Gary Stute trains Papa Clem and his regular jockey Rafael Bejarano may ride him again on Saturday, although he has been working out with Miguel Mena.
