Music Lifted My Spirit

After my father died in 1997, I started going to a new church, one that was a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
I grew up in a Disciples of Christ Christian church, and was more than happy to walk into the sanctuary of the historic building.
Today, as a result of the covid-19 restrictions, a compilation was presented of 27 years of Music Ministry that has taken place at my church.
It has been under the leadership of Michael Rintamaa, who is one of the most remarkable people I have ever known in my life . He is a humble man, a Christian man, a preacher's kid, a music Major, a Northwestern and Emory graduate, and one of the finest musicians one would ever want to meet.
I'm going to link you to the performance from today on YouTube for my church, and I hope you enjoy it. It is John Rutter, it is Messiah it is a compilation of some very Sacred Music that we performed at the Christmas time at Advent over the years, sponsored by Dr. Bill McDaniel, who died last month.
It is because of McDaniels' contributions to our music program that we were able to hire the best musicians to accompany us during these performances. I am looking forward to a Rona vaccine in the near future, and perhaps the numbers of those who are becoming sick with the coronavirus will start to drop.
I want to see my America return! I know God blesses America, and I know God will bring us through this time of pandemic, victoriously and triumphantly!
Love, peace, and Christ, gave me Central Christian Church in the summer of 1997. I heard the organ and I heard the hymns correlated with the scripture that was read in the sermon that was preached that day, and I was thoroughly impressed. Soon thereafter, I joined the choir, the chancel choir.
Over the years, I have learned that the chancel choir was comprised of many many talented musicians, some who had taught, some who had learned music at UK and in the Fayette County School Systems. Today, because of a the result of the covid-19, a compilation was presented of 27 years of Music Ministry that has compiled a presentation of the chancel Choir performing works by John Rutter and from Handel's Messiah. It is a marvelous compilation and I hope you enjoy it! 🎶? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10223764876767438&id=1159354312 Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! pray for peace, Kimmy
