Georgia Is On My Mind
Today, I heard on the news that the votes in Georgia have been counted, and it appears that Joseph Biden has won Georgia as well.
I will be honest here, I don't really like Georgia all that much. Years ago, I used to think that I would want to retire in the town of Savannah, because it is by the ocean and in a warm temperate zone.
However, since then, I have had to call all over the United States for a company that is selling a certain drug for the company.
At any rate, I was pretty good at it but I hated calling Florida and Georgia. Those people were just the hardest people to talk to, and getting through to a doctor was an exercise in futility. The receptionists were snitty, the nurses were snotty, and the administrative people in the office that I had to speak were impossible to discuss anything with regarding the medication I was trying to promote.
We were giving away a free steak dinner to Michael Jordan's Steakhouse, places like that, and I still could not get anybody to accept. I take that back, about every tenth call or so I would get a live wire, and would actually get to talk to someone who would agree to attend one of our dinners and get a free steak dinner. It's hilarious that I don't like Georgia because of that, but truthfully, I used to hate Texas but now I love Texas because of that job. It is all because of the attitude of the people that answered the phone. Isn't that weird? I should know better than to judge people on the way their receptionist answers the phone...but I had to earn my rent money by calling those phone numbers and dealing with medical offices in these states, and I hated calling Georgia, and let's not forget Florida, the Troublemaker of all.
At any rate I liked that job because I was successful, and I did indeed place several doctors offices at the steakhouses. Also I enjoyed my co-workers. I'm glad that job is over though and now I can collect Social Security and piss off everybody who doesn't like it. I worked from 1968 to 2018, I think I worked a pretty good amount of time to collect my Social Security and it's my business anyway.
Today, I am going to choose to be happy, because my grandson is recording an album and my oldest granddaughter is about to have her baby any day now.
It is a good time to be Kimmy in America! Have a wonderful day!
peace,
Kimmy.
