Medicaid, My Ass

Finding these faces is just about as hard as
getting Medicaid to send me my money.
I turned 65 in December, and I applied for Medicaid in November. I am still awaiting Medicaid to pay me back for the $144 they've taken from my check since November. I only make $850 a month on Social Security. I have faxed my responses with all the proof needed to the agency multiple times. Now, I am looking at a May date before I ever see a penny of what they have already taken from me. By then, it will be nearly $1,000! That will be almost like the big bonus check I'm waiting on from the government that 45 said he would send me.

It is the anniversary of my father's death from cancer. It is also my friend's birthday. That is life, is it not? We have to be able to swim those Waters, whether they're choppy or smooth. We have to be able to stand up and have the courage to fight even when it looks like we are going to lose. We have to dig down deep inside ourselves and try to forgive those who say hateful things to us, to those who steal from us, or those who use us.

I am going to make myself some pancakes, put some butter on them, and imagine I have syrup so they taste delicious. It's not that hard to do, believe it or not! Please take care of yourself. Please stay home. And please stay well!
