WoodSongs Celebrates Appalachian & Bluegrass Music - Monday, Dec. 6!

We can all look forward to Monday because of Michael Johnathon's WoodSongs Old-Time Radio Hour!

Check out Monday's line-up - it's the last taping of the show this year (December 6):

The SteeldriversThe Steeldrivers brand of bluegrass is intense, dark, poetic, and inescapably human. The Steeldrivers braid bluegrass with threads of their own design, weaving country, soul, and other contemporary influences into an unapologetic hybrid that is old as the hills but fresh as the morning dew. Celebrating two new releases, "Reckless" is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to their highly acclaimed debut. The band is featured on the movie soundtrack for "Get Low" starring Robert Duvall and Bill Murray. steeldrivers.net

Molly AndrewsMolly Andrews is recognized as one of the finest interpreters of southern Appalachian music and varied genres. Born a coal miner's granddaughter in Bluefield, West Virginia, Andrews embraces intuition and versatility as an acapella and interpretive singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. The late Mike Seeger said, "She's one of my very most favorite ballad singers." Her most recent solo recording, Bird On A Briar, is slated for release in early 2011.myspace.com/mollygibsonandrews
