Favorite Super Saver May Save the Day for Pletcher

SUPER SAVER is a favorite (if not THE favorite) in tomorrow's Kentucky Derby and if he prevails, he could break the losing streak for trainer Todd Pletcher (the Susan Lucci of Derby trainers).

With the sloppy track being the only certainty for tomorrow's Run for the Roses, perhaps SUPER SAVER will set the pace and create a 'clean silks effect' and get ahead of the pack to leave a rooster tail of mud behind for the rest of the horses to handle.  He came in second in the Arkansas Derby to LINE OF DAVID, and perhaps can use the extra lil bit of track that he will have tomorrow to earn a spot in the winner's circle.
What I like about this horse:  He's top notch all the way. He's owned by Winstar Farms, his dam is an A.P. INDY mare named SUPER CHARGER and his sire is MARIA'S MON.  A.P. INDY was Horse of the Year and won the Grade I Belmont; MARIA'S MON was also a Champion.
