CONVEYANCE Might Be Baffert's Longest Shot

(all photos courtesy of PHOTOS BY Z)

At 50-1, CONVEYANCE might just be trainer Bob Baffert's longest shot yet to win the Kentucky Derby.  The gray/roan colt was undefeated until late March, when he lost to ENDORSEMENT in the closing stretch of the Sunland Derby.

CONVEYANCE is a son of INDIAN CHARLIE and out of the HOLY BULL mare, EMPTYTHETILL.  With HOLY BULL in his pedigree, it must be considered that the colt has a chance to win this long, long race, however his breeding shows a tendency to run shorter distances, and quite frankly, so does he.

Does he deserve to be in the Derby? Sure he does, but I am not so sure he will finish in the money.

What I like about this horse:  He is a gray horse, and I love to bet on gray horses.  Sorry, lambchops, but that's about it.
