Holler 23 - Hope To See You There!

The lovely folks I like to call my HollerKids are at it again, as HollerDaddy Eric Sutherland welcomes Kate Buckley and Jim Lally for Holler Poets Series 23.

There's even more to crow about, because following the 8pm event at Al's Bar tomorrow night, the sure-to-be sizable and articulate crowd will enjoy music by Roosterpan!

If you have not yet had the experience known as Holler, you really need to get the lead out and make it down there tomorrow night.
I plan to finally break my Holler maraschino - my poetry piece will be read ... but there's a surprise therein. I can't tell you what it is, you'll have to visit Holler to find out. Suffice it to say it's going to be fun, and different from anything I've seen or heard at the hippest recurring literary event in town.

Kate Buckley will earn her MFA in May from Spalding University. She is the author of "A Wild Region" (Moon Tide Press, 2008) and "Follow Me Down" (Tebot Bach, 2009). Two poems from "Follow Me Down" are current nominees for the Pushcart Prize. Her awards include the Gabehart Prize for Imaginative Writing and the North American Review's James Hearst Poetry Prize. A ninth-generation Kentuckian, she currently lives in Laguna Beach, California.

Jim Lally has been writing for 40 years and is celebrating the release of his first collection, "Stick Tight Man" from Accents Publishing. He is a member of Poezia and a regular Holler contributor. Jim and his wife own Sunflower Sundries outside Flemingsburg.
