Blue Kitty's Favorite Time of the Year

My neighbor has a long haired cat named Blue Kitty.  Even though WE know he's blue, HE thinks he's a black cat, determined to cross your path just when you're feeling lucky.

Blue Kitty is also daring enough to dart out with perfect timing to scare the bee-diddley out of anyone who ventures down the street during the month of October, when Guide Kevin Steele leads his 1 1/2 hour guided walk through historic downtown recalling tales of history, haunts, duels and disasters.

Blue Kitty will have reason to celebrate soon, as the tour returns this Friday and Saturday 7 p.m. & 9 p.m., Sunday 7 p.m. only. $10 adults, $5 12 and under.

The tours depart from the sidewalk outside Sawyer's Downtown Grille. 325 East Main Street, and no reservations are needed.  If you haven't gone on the ghost walk before, you are in for a treat.  Lexington's downtown is graced with some homes and buildings blessed with histories that have seen a lot of comings and goings over several hundreds of years.  It will be fun...just watch out for Blue Kitty ;-)
