Ace Weekly Front Porch Friday June 6, 2009

by Kim Thomas

I work for a brilliant group of lawyers who I absolutely would trust with my legal life, but I have no idea what they are talking about, most of the time. Still, they kick legal ass, and are absolutely one of the best law firms in the world. I'm not kitten.

However, it is Friday. I am off work for the weekend, and man, oh man, I am happy to be home, watching the news, and waiting for Letterman. In fact, I'm kinda happy to also be procrastinating about the completion of my Belmont blogs and listening to my friend, Tom, snore on my pink leather sofa. He has the most blissful look on his face right now...bless his heart.
He will always love me, even when I'm sort of unlovable.

So, Tom escorted me to the Ace Weekly Front Porch Friday tonight, and we had a grand old time, talking with Dan & Jeannie Sherman, Nick Kouns, Mick Jeffries, Andrew Wyllie, Sandy and Ian Davis, Keegan Frank...whew ! Since we were all together for the first time in over a year, my Editrix, Woodford County Humane
Society's Uber-PR gal, Sandy Davis and I had our photo taken together. (photo by Ian Davis) on the swing...

Then Mr. Bragg took a great photo of me on our way home, as we passed the WINE+MARKET and were admiring gorgeous hostas on Second Street. (Lexington is so lovely this time of year :)

So for tonight's Front Porch Friday, it was perfect cool weather. No rain. Just smiles and really, really great people.
The crowd of Ace lovers were all fabulous friends and it was like a great reunion of the Joe Sonka Barefoot & Progressive crowd of last week...without the pool tables...and Drew Curtis. And Joe Sonka. But otherwise, yeah, almost the same bunch of dirty bloggers and Pit Haters, plus Sandy and Ian Davis (yeehaw)! We had too much fun. Love love love it!
pray for peace, y'all,
Kimmy
