First of all, it is February and we are all ready for Spring, BUT first there is the SuperBowl to see!
After a lifetime of exper ience, my team is in the SuperBowl and the Bengals could not be led by a better role model than Quarterback Joe Burrow.
He's an Ohio guy, but he rose to national prominence at LSU where he won The Heisman and other honors. He raises money to feed those who are hungry. The guy wears a black turtleneck with a chain and school kids mimic his look.
He IS the shizz, y'all.
I love Kentucky basketball 🏀 but lemme just tellya after surviving powder puff football at Conner High, watching a professional football game is a treat for this veteran.
My father and I would watch peewee games all over the area when my younger brothers played for Florence Lions' team. We would bundle up and go to Bromley, for example, to watch Marshall and Addison play. Their team was UNDEFEATED and UNSCORED UPON. Slackers lol.
In 'powder puff' football, we played the entire game, coz we only had enough girls for offense AND defense. Yeah, we played the entire game with no pads or helmets ... and I was a lineman! Powder Puff, my arse!
To see the University of Cincinnati having a great football year (too) just wrapped the Bengals in a giant cheese coney, and there's not a better compliment! Yummy.
I'm going to watch all the Bengal love on Cincinnati's WLWT and the other stations, but Channel 5 has always been a family favorite! 😍
