Dear February, See Ya Next Leap Year

Is it just me, or did February seem awful long for such a short month?

First, I waited for

the SuperBowl excitement to crescendo and resolve. I was all too happy to follow the Bengals in their 33 year fairy tale. Sure, they did not win the Lombardi trophy, but they played a HELL of a game. After such a dreamy season, I'm proud of that team.

Around the SuperBowl hoopla, the Olympics made their entrance, and there was the Russian doping controversy that kept the ice skating competition rather murky. However, it sure was fun to see our U.S. heroes medal and shine like the stars they are!

Also, the #@!^÷ ice and snow and my patience took a heavy breath while I held my temper. Grrr - today, I see sunshine, but I know it's not here for long.

War is the last issue on my mind, and lordy how I wish it wasn't. At my age, I have grandsons to worry about and granddaughters having babies for me to love. We have a responsibility to protect kids.

I pray for the people in harm's way.

Peace

Kimmy
