COMMA TO THE TOP (Bwana Charlie—Maggie’s Storm, by Storm Cat) almost won the Santa Anita Derby, maybe with an extra furlong he can win the Kentucky Derby, although the experts say there’s nothing in his pedigree that would view him as anything but a sprinter. He’s a longshot at this point, because he has nothing but speed in his pedigree and past performances. His dam, MAGGIE’S STORM was a graded stakes winner, but again, never won a long distance race. COMMA TO THE TOP is owned by Gary Barber, Roger Birnbaum, and Kevin Tsujihara; trained by Peter Miller, and has won 6 of 13 races, placed twice.
What I like: the horse has won over $750,000 and was purchased for $5,000 as a weanling. You gotta love a colt like that.
